Laptops stolen in school raid

THIEVES broke into a school in Palm Beach on Tuesday night and stole computers.

Gold Coast police are investigating the break-in at Palm Beach Currumbin High School.

A police spokesperson said about 11.30pm, thieves smashed two glass doors and a timber door to gain entry to a computer room at the school.

About eight to ten laptops were stolen from the computer room.

According to police no other property appeared to be taken.

Detectives were appealing to anyone who may have seen anyone acting suspiciously in the vicinity of Thrower Dr to contact police.
