League know-all Phil Gould to speak at Cudgen sports lunch
PHIL Gould will headline the eighth annual Men of League Tweed District Sportsmen's Lunch at Cudgen Leagues Club next Friday.
Designed as a fundraiser for the local league community, the lunch kicks off at noon with Gould as the main speaker.
MC Neil Pringle has a history of getting the best out of guests on the microphone, not that Mr Gould should need any encouragement when it comes to storytelling and talking about his roles at Penrith both past and present and stints as the New South Wales Blues coach.
Tickets are good value at $100 a pop with a two-course meal, cheese and fruit platters, beer and wine included in the price.
The Tweed District Men of League Foundation hosts a variety of charity events including a golf day, race day, social bowls day and day at the dogs.
Since forming in 2004 the Tweed branch has raised tens of thousands of dollars for individuals, clubs and their families.
