Let It Snow at Murwillumbah’s last summer race meeting

MURWILLUMBAH'S last meeting of the summer will get under way on Tuesday with the running of the Frank and Sue Jolly Class 2 handicap (1010m) at 1.53pm.

The race looks set to be an interesting betting affair with three horses vying for favouritism in overnight betting markets, and another fancy hot on their heels.

Let It Snow boasts the tried and true rider-trainer combination of Glen Colless and local horseman Matt Dunn.

The pair have combined all season to bring home winner after winner at Murwillumbah, and Let It Snow is poised to let the show roll-on after a last start win at the Gold Coast.

The three-year-old Freeze filly's other career win was recorded 11 months ago at the Sunshine Coast when Colless was in the saddle to steer her home in a two year old Maiden.

Sharing the top line of betting with her are topweight Fashion Opera, and Few Are Chosen who has recorded a win and a second place from two career starts and is trained at Ballina by Steven Lee.

Tuesday's meeting features seven events with the last of the day getting under way at 5.40pm. Gates open at 11.30am.

Racing will return to Murwillumbah for the Tweed River Jockey Club's traditional Anzac Day meeting on April 25.
