Library offers e-book loans

TWEED area libraries at Kingscliff, Murwillumbah and Tweed Heads will be offering free e-book talks as well as organising free hearing tests for older residents during Seniors Week next week.

Richmond Tweed Regional Library staff will be instructing on how to access and use new e-sources now available through the RTRL website.

Staff will demonstrate Overdrive, the digital e-book distributor and answer any questions in relation to number of loans, how to download, reserve titles and e-reader compatibility as well as sharing an overview of the e-book downloading experience.

Those attending are urged to take along their own e-reader to receive expert assistance and advice.

Bookings are essential at each branch.

The classes are scheduled:

  • Monday, March 19 (10am (NSW): Murwillumbah Library (02 6670 2427).
  • Tuesday, March 20 (10am): Tweed Heads Library (07 5569 3150).
  • Thursday, March 22 (10am): Kingscliff Library (02 6674 1607).

Free hearing tests for seniors are being conducted by Australian Hearing and bookings are a must.

The hearing tests will be held at Tweed Heads Library on Wednesday, March 21, and Kingscliff Library on Friday, March 23.
