Life balance is the key at health and wellness expo

PROMOTING healthy living through life balance will be a key theme of talks at the Health and Wellness expo at South Tweed's HACC Community Centre.

Going from April 10 to 14, the talks range from ways to fine tune your biological clock, to tips on vitality and disease prevention.

Northern Arizona University associate clinical professor Jay Sutliffe will use his knowledge in nutrition, dietetics and health education to bring some informed opinion to the talks.

"Basically it's just giving basic principles on health and wellness," event organiser Matthew Parra said.

"Things like circadian rhythm and keeping your life within a framework, people don't know your body is wired a certain way."

"It's about what to eat, exercise, basic healthy living principles.

Mr Parra said that Mr Sutliffe was "super smart" and has solid clinical data, which he will make readily accessible to those who visit the health talks.

"It will be relevant, helpful and practical," Mr Parra said.

Admission to the expo is free and the first talk at 8.15pm on April 10 will centre on synchronised living.
