Lismore and Lennox in final

THE Far North Coast rugby union season will come to an end next week when Lismore takes on last year's premiers, Lennox Head at Crozier Field in Lismore.

Lennox Head earned the right to defend their premiership after accounting for Ballina in a high-scoring game, 33-29.

Both sides scored four tries each with the goal kicking accuracy of Lennox's Adam Gordon proving to be the difference in the end.

The reigning premiers went to the half time break up 18-10 and held off a strong charge from Ballina.

In reserve grade, the grand final will be played between Ballina and Lismore.

The two clubs will also contest the third grade grand final.

The third grade grand final gets underway at 10.45am, the second grade at 3pm and the first grade at 4.45pm.
