Barry Longland returned as mayor of Tweed Shire Council
Updated report, September 20: Barry Longland won the support of fellow councillors at last night's council meeting and will continue as Tweed Shire Council mayor. The role was also contested by Warren Polglase. Cr Longland won the vote four to three.
Michael Armstrong will also continue in the role as deputy. For a full report on last night's council meeting, check back here later this morning. The role was also contested Phil Youngblutt. Cr Armstrong won the vote four to three.
