SOMETIMES finding love isn't easy.

And in some towns, the sea of single girls is more of a trickle than a gushing waterway.

That's why Southern Star is on the hunt for single lads in the Clarence Valley area to star in a brand new reality television series When Love Comes to Town.

Casting producer Kate Rooney said the show was exactly that - bringing a bunch of gorgeous city girls out to regional towns in the hope they see sparks fly with some of the blokes.

"We're trying to find areas where there is an under-supply of single females because it makes it hard for a lot of guys in regional areas to meet girls," Ms Rooney said.

"So we're bringing the girls to them.

"We're trying to play Cupid."

Think The Bachelor without the competition and elimination process, or Farmer Wants a Wife without the farming.

"You could be a truckie, a cheese maker, a dairy farmer, a paramedic - we're looking for guys from all walks of life," Ms Rooney said.

To do the show, Southern Star needs two guys from every state and they want some fellas from the Clarence Valley.

Interviews have already started, so if you are a single male between the ages of 25-39 and are genuinely looking for love, go to whenlovecomestotown.com.au to apply.

Alternatively, if you know of a guy who fits the part - why not nominate him.

Filming starts in September and they want applications ASAP.
