EMPLOYMENT opportunities are about to get a boost in the Tweed region after Employment Training Community officially opened a new office in Tweed Heads.

The employment and recruitment specialists saw the opportunity to expand into the region through the delivery of the Australian Government’s jobactive program.

Employment services general manager Damon Munt said ETC was now set to help more than 700 jobseekers in the Tweed region.

“We are committed to helping local unemployed people find meaningful and sustainable employment.

“We take the hassle out of recruitment by providing employers with a shortlist of candidates that meet their specific needs and also assist with the interview process,” Mr Munt said.

ETC will be ramping up its delivery of training programs in the Tweed and offers a range of accredited training courses from certificate to diploma level, in retail, hospitality business and community services and will also focus on helping the indigenous community.

ETC marketing and communications manager Sally Petersen said the company was committed to working with the local indigenous community to drive employment opportunities.
