Love through the lens
SHOOTING spectacular photos for more than 40 weddings each year in Tweed, photographer Caroline Fogg is taking her business Mihaja Photography to great heights, also working at weddings nationally and internationally.
Mrs Fogg founded the company three years ago, and never expected it to take off so quickly.
“My friend had booked a portrait session for her young son, but after a last minute cancellation, I stepped in and started playing around with photos,” Mrs Fogg said.
“She really loved what I did and how the photos turned out and it got me wondering why I didn’t do it sooner,” Mrs Fogg said.
The business grew from there, with the help of social networks such as Facebook and her blog, so much so that her husband now looks after her two young children while she runs Mihaja.
Mihaja is named after the first two initials of Mrs Fogg’s sons, Mitchell, six, Hayden, three-and-a-half, and Jayden, who sadly passed away at a young age.
While weddings are her specialty, Mrs Fogg has also snapped fun, intimate and unique photos of children, families, formals and maternity as well as newborns and babies.
“Shooting two people in love is my passion, and after my beautiful little family, shooting love is my life,” Mrs Fogg said.
Beaches in the Tweed area remain a favourite wedding destination, with Snapper Rocks and Kingscliff particularly popular.Mrs Fogg said Mihaja stands apart from other wedding photography, as they create a personal and intimate experience, by creating a friendship with their clients and added cute, quirky and beautiful touches to their shots.
“I don’t just photograph your memories, I live your memories,” Mrs Fogg said.
Mihaja’s wedding packages include two photographers on your wedding day, personalised photo CDs, a get-to-know-you session prior to the wedding and to top it off a beautiful handcrafted photo book to remember your special day.
Mrs Fogg has high hopes for Mihaja Photography and with a wedding in Bali to photograph this month, she hopes destination weddings will expand her horizons.
