IN the battle of the birds, Tweed Seagulls came off second best in Saturday night's QRL InTrust Cup clash.

The Souths Logan Magpies won 20-12 against the away team, keeping their momentum going from start to finish.

Tweed may have been good enough to take two converted tries in the second half, but it wasn't enough to halt the determined Magpies squad.

The Seagulls will face long-time rivals the Burleigh Bears at Pizzey Park this weekend
