Male cyclist dies after veering into a ditch

A MALE cyclist has died after veering into a ditch in Tallebudgera this morning.

Preliminary investigations suggest the man was unable to negotiate a bend after a steep descent on Trees Road.

The man died at the scene.

It is understood the incident occurred just before 8am, with no other vehicle involved.

A spokesperson for the Queensland Police Service said the Forensic Crash Unit would investigate the scene.
