Man, 44, on attempted murder charges involving a boy

A BRISBANE man faces charges of attempted murder and torture after police were called to a home on the city's southside.

Although details remain vague, police confirmed that officers visited the house after reports of a "disturbance" involving a man and a pre-teenage boy.

The 44-year-old man is to face Brisbane Magistrates Court today.

Police say the boy was not seriously injured, and knew the man who has now been charged.
