Mundubbera man, 58, killed after ute rolls near Gympie

A 58-YEAR-OLD man has died after he apparently lost control of his ute and it rolled at Lower Wonga, near Gympie on Sunday afternoon.

Police said  investigations suggest that around 1.40pm, the utility was travelling west on the Wide Bay Highway when it lost control and rolled.

The driver and sole occupant of the utility, a 58-year-old man, died at the scene.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
