Man, 72, hurts arm and hand in South Tweed car crash

A 72-YEAR-old man is recovering in hospital after the second traffic collision in two days on Minjungbal Dr, Tweed Heads South.

An Ambulance NSW spokeswoman said a two-car crash occurred about 11.15am on Tuesday.

The injured man was taken to Tweed Hospital in a stable condition after sustaining arm and hand injuries.

The spokeswoman said a 40-year-old woman was also assessed, but had no obvious injuries.

It's understood the crash occurred near Victory Ford - close to the site of a four-car incident on Monday.

The cause of both incidents is currently unknown and police have not identified whether any charges were laid.
