Man airlifted after crashing motorbike at Tyalgum

A MAN was airlifted to hospital on Sunday after crashing his motorbike in Mebbin National Park, near Tyalgum.

Tweed Byron LAC Inspector Darren Steel said a number of people had been riding motorbikes in the forest, when one individual failed to arrive at a designated meeting spot.

Insp Steele said the man was found on the ground, having sustained some injuries.

It's understood the man was airlifted from Tyalgum, about 10km away, to the Gold Coast University Hospital in Southport.
