Man and goat fulfilling God's calling to walk across country

A MAN and his goat are we on their way to fulfilling God's call to walk across the country.

Steve Wescott is walking with his goat Miles across USA after he "felt God call him to walk across America", according to his website.

The aspiring musician said he felt the call in 2010, but held off fulfilling the calling as he hope to still make it in the music industry.

But fate had a different idea and after a few months, Steve was on his way to walk 3,800 miles from the Space Needle in Seattle, Washington to Times Square in New York.

A hiker in Pennsylvania spotted Steve and his goat at Monroeville, near Gateway Senior High School, today.

Rick Horwat posted a photo of Steve and his goat on Facebook page Hikers as well as a link to a story about Steve's journey, which talked about how Steve had originally picked a dog to be his companion on the walk, but due to an injury the dog couldn't make the trip.

So Steve picked LeeRoy Brown to keep him company. However, LeeRoy Brown fell ill and died in October 2015.

Steve's new companion is Miles, an Alphine Goat.
