Man charged after Bilambil drug lab raid

POLICE have charged a man after a clandestine drug lab was discovered in Bilambil Heights this week.

Tweed/Byron LAC officers executed a search warrant at a Marana St home about 5.30pm Thursday.

Police allege they found a clandestine drug laboratory, including glassware believed to be used in drug manufacture, at the home.

The crime scene will be examined by specialist officers.

A 41-year-old man was arrested and charged possessing instructions for the manufacture of a prohibited drug.

The man was refused bail to appear at Byron Bay Local Court yesterday.

He was then granted conditional bail to reappear at Tweed Heads Local Court on March 7.
