Man charged after stabbing brother
POLICE have charged a Gold Coast man with stabbing his younger brother during an argument outside a Brassall Hotel.
An 18-year-old man had to be taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital about 10pm Sunday after suffering a stab wound to the top of his right shoulder.
Police allege his 20-year-old brother inflicted the wound with a pocket knife during an argument which erupted while the pair was walking home from the Mi Hi Tavern.
The men had gone out following a family get-together earlier on Sunday.
The younger brother's injury was described as non-life threatening and he was only taken to the PA Hospital because Ipswich was full and on bypass at the time.
A 20-year-old Gold Coast man was later charged with unlawful wounding and possessing a knife in public.
He will face Ipswich Magistrates Court on Monday.
