Man refused bail for firearm offences

A MAN, 27, from Mudgeeraba, who police alleged produced a firearm during a fight with another man at Robina on Monday was refused bail in Southport court today.

Patrons of the Dog and Parrot Tavern at Robina called police about 2pm yesterday with reports a man with a gun was arguing with another man in the bar.

Ben Longley, 27, was charged with going armed as to cause fear, unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of a dangerous drug.
