Man charged over stolen milk tanker
A VICTORIAN man allegedly tried to steal 22,00 litres of milk during a high stakes pursuit in Melbourne at the weekend.
But the 20-year-old Maffra man, who was allegedly trying to steal a milk tanker filled with 22,000lt of fresh milk, was caught.
Victorian police released a statement which alleged the man led police on a two-hour pursuit on the Prices and Monash freeways when the truck finally came to a stop on, you guessed it "the Police Road" off-ramp.
The man was charged with reckless conduct endangering life, theft of 22,000 litres of milk, failing to stop and various other traffic offences.
He was remanded in custody to appear in Melbourne Magistrates' Court on Monday.
