Man charged with Kingscliff sex assault appears in court
UPDATED, Wed 2.30pm: A MAN accused of sexually assaulting an elderly Kingscliff woman appeared in Lismore Local Court on Tuesday via video link from prison.
The prosecution alleged Dayne Aaron Willott, 34, sexually assaulted a 76-year-old woman in her Kingscliff unit on January 29.
In a separate hearing it will be alleged police found 100 cannabis plants at a Yao St, Kingscliff, address.
His case has been adjourned until April 22.
INITIAL report, Tues 11am: The man accused of sexually assaulting an elderly Kingscliff woman, 75, is due to face Lismore Local Court today.
Dayne Aaron Willott, 34, of Kingscliff, is facing two charges of aggravated sexual assault and break and enter with intent.
The alleged attack took place in early February when the woman answered a knock on the front door of her unit.
Willott, who was represented by solicitor Phillip Crick at a previous appearance, has not yet applied for bail or entered a plea of Willott.
