Tweed West stabbing victim is recovering

Update, 11.29am: THE 41-year-old man stabbed at Tweed Heads West on Saturday is now in a stable condition.

 

Initial Report, October 27, 11.03am: A 41-year-old man who was stabbed at a Tweed Heads West home was in critical condition on Sunday morning.

Officers from Tweed Byron LAC we called to an incident at Kennedy Dr about 4pm on Saturday, where they found a man collapsed outside a unit block, suffering a stab wound to his back.

Ambulance NSW paramedics treated the man on scene before he was taken to Tweed Heads Hospital.

A 39-year-old woman was arrested and taken to Tweed Heads Police Station, where she was charged with wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

She was refused bail to appear in Tweed Heads Court on Sunday.
