Man dies in house fire

ONE man was killed and his family rushed to hospital when a fire tore through their NSW home on the weekend.

Five women were evacuated from a unit on the state's Central Coast early Sunday morning but a man was trapped inside and his body was found a short time later.

One of the women suffered serious burns to her hands and legs while the others were treated for smoke inhalation.

The cause of the fire is not yet known.
