Man dies in truck rollover west of Mackay

A MAN has died in a truck rollover west of Mackay on Sunday afternoon.

The truck crash on Gregory Development Road at Llarnath, about 355km from Mackay, occurred about 1pm, according to Queensland Police.

A 42-year-old man from Bakers Hill in Western Australia rolled the truck about four kilometres north of Belyando Roadhouse.

The driver was declared dead at the scene and the road was closed for some time on Sunday while "recovery efforts" continued.

Police Forensic Crash Unit investigations continue.
