Man drives himself to police station after being shot

POLICE are waiting to interview a 21-year-old man who drove himself to his local police station after being shot in the leg.

Emergency services received a call to attend the Beenleigh police station at 5.15am on Friday to attend to the man's bloody thigh wound.

He was transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a stable condition, and police are waiting until he has been properly treated before questioning him.

A police spokesman said the man's injuries were not life threatening.

Investigations continue.
