Man drowns after fall at North Curl Curl

A FISHERMAN has drowned off a Sydney beach.

The man, aged in his 60's fell into the surf about 100m of the North Curl Curl rock baths about 8am.

A swimmer jumped into the water with a life buoy in an attempt to rescue the man but he died at the scene.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
