Man punches woman in the face in violent road rage attacks
A 27-year-old woman has been punched in the face after a road rage attack, News Limited has reported.
A 36-year-old man allegedly pursued the woman, who was on a scooter-bike, before exploding into a violent rage before leaving his car and attacking the woman near the Gold Coast Highway at Mermaid Waters about 8pm last night.
Police allege the man also smashed the windscreen of another car with a crowbar in a separate incident a short time later, it was reported.
Paramedics were called to treat the woman.
The man was arrested at the scene of the second attack and has been charged with willful damage, drink driving and assault. He will face Southport Magistrates Court today.
