Man on the run after armed hold-up at Hervey Bay

POLICE are hunting a man armed with a knife and a handgun who robbed the United Service Station at Eli Waters on Sunday morning.

Police said that just after 6.35am the man entered the business demanding the staff member hand over money from the till and cigarettes.

He was armed with a knife and a handgun.

He fled with a sum of cash and packets of cigarettes.

Investigators have released a CCTV image of a man with which they wish to speak.

He is described as being caucasian in appearance, about 165cm tall with brown hair and a ginger moustache.
