Man stabbed to death, now police search for teen boys
A MAN has died after being stabbed at a service station in Queanbeyan overnight, with police searching for two boys - aged 15 and 16 - who are believed to be able to assist with the investigation of the incident near the NSW-ACT border.
Just before midnight, the injured 29-year-old service station employee was found by a colleague at the premises on Bungendore Rd. The man was assisted but died at the scene.
The incident follows a night of violence in Sydney - with several stabbings being reported only streets away from each other, although it's not known if any of the incidents are related.
Emergency services crews were called to Arncliffe Park about 12.30am after reports of a fight between two men - which allegedly escalated to a point where one of the men was stabbed in the thigh - but no victims were found at the scene and it's not known whether the call was bogus or whether the parties escaped.
However, just before 1am, emergency services responded to reports of a stabbing on Cook St, Turrella - just around the corner - where they found a 25-year-old woman with multiple stab wounds to her arms, face, neck and shoulders.
About 1.30am, police responded in Stone St, Earlwood - only 8 minutes from the Turrella attack - where it was reported two men had both received multiple stab wounds.
A 53-year-old man reportedly received multiple abdominal wounds, while a 26-year-old man is believed to have suffered stomach, leg, arm and facial injuries - both losing large amounts of blood.
