Man taken to hospital after violent robbery in Maryborough

POLICE are searching for three men following a violent robbery in Maryborough in the early hours of Friday morning.

At 1am, police were called to John St where they found a 25-year-old man with a head injury and cuts to his body.

It is believed the man was assaulted by three men who stole his mobile phone and attempted to steal his wallet.

He was taken to Hervey Bay Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
