Man walks into fire station with stab wound

A MAN has stumbled into the Fortitude Valley fire station with what was believed to be a stab wound to his stomach this morning.

Fire officers called paramedics after the man, whose age is currently unknown, wandered into the Kemp Place Fire Station in Martin Plc on the western fringe of the party district about 7.40am.

He was taken in a stable condition to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital for treatment to an abdominal wound.

Police were contacted and are at the hospital wanting to speak with the man. Officers are currently reviewing CCTV in the area. There is not believed to be any threat to the public.
