Man, woman arrested over theft at Tweed

TWEED Byron Police have arrested and charged a woman and a man in relation to numberous stealing offences at a telecommunications business in Tweed Heads.

On Sunday, a 19-year-old woman was arrested and charged with take and drive conveyance without consent of owner; aggravated break and enter commit serious indictable offence in company; and goods in personal custody suspected being stolen.

She was bail refused by police and is set to appear at Lismore Local Court on March 22.

On Monday, following further investigation and surveillance, a 23-year-old man was arrested in relation to the same offences committed at the telecommunications business located at Tweed Heads.

The male was arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated commit serious indictable offence in dwelling in company; and drive motor vehicle during disqualification period.

He was bail refused by police and will appear at Tweed Heads Local Court today.
