Man's body found in car at Murwillumbah

A MAN'S body was found in car at Murwillumbah on Saturday.

The man's remains, which have been identified as a 33-year-old, were found in a white Hyundai Excel on Prospero St about 2.20pm.

Tweed-Byron Local Area Command detectives established a crime scene to be examined by specialist forensic officers.

A police spokesman said the death was being treated as non-suspicious but police were still investigating the cause of death.

It is understood the body was found across the front seat of the car but it is unknown how long it has been there.
