Markets to get TV boost

THE Village Markets in Burleigh were under the spotlight yesterday as they were filmed for TV program, The Great South East.

The fashion markets, created and run by Sarah Schoeller and Marissa Bowden, have become a phenomenon on the Gold Coast.

Ms Schoeller said the TV show was a great way to showcase the market and the crowds that attend.

“They filmed us for a market special that will air on September 18,” Ms Schoeller said.

“They interviewed some of the stall holders who are very excited to be on TV.

“It’s a great way to showcase the markets particular because they are very unique in the way they promote up and coming Gold Coast designers.”

Miss Schoeller said the show spent a couple of hours filming the markets, capturing the the unique atmosphere.

“We were thrilled with how it went and we cannot wait to see it on TV,” she said.

The Village Markets are held on the first and third Sunday of the month from 8am-1pm at the Burleigh Heads State School Oval.
