Shooter at home on the range

Against a quality field of more than 60 competitors, Cronk prevailed in a close contest to win the Sunday aggregate event held over 300, 500 and 600 metre ranges.

He was one of two shooters in fine weather and a testing breeze to score a possible with his 30 shots.

The pair then went head-to-head in a shoot-out which went in Cronk's favour with a string of centre bulls.

Another Murwillumbah club member who also made the trip to Goondiwindi, David Phippard dropped just a single shot on the opening day of the competition, with his score of 149 and 12 inner bulls securing 9th placing.
