Meet this month's Trilby Misso Community Hero

Melissa Groom is this month's winner of the Trilby Misso Community Hero. Melissa is an advocate for mothers who want to have a fulfilling professional life as well as balance at home. She is the founder of Empowered Mums, formerly known as Mums in Business - an organization dedicated to giving help and support as well as learning opportunities to Mums who want to have their very own successful online business.

Melissa started this journey over 3 years ago, when she embarked on a project to create her very own online TV show, helping mums with kids, called Toddlers to Teens Parents TV Show. She soon realised that this wasn't easy and there was a lot to learn about this area of online business, and also other women out there felt the same. This is where Empowered Mums was born.

Katrina O'Neale, a member of the Empowered Mums group, nominated Melissa for her work, and wanted her to be "recognised for amazing time & effort she puts into supporting and helping Australia's Mums in Business reach their life & business goals."

When My Daily News contacted Melissa to tell her she had won this month's Trilby Misso Community Hero Award, she was totally taken by surprise, and very grateful to receive it.

If you want to find out more about Empowered Mums, then head to www.mumsinbusinessaustralia.com.au and Melissa and the team will be happy to welcome you to their weekly meetings.
