Meet Tweed's new mayor
THE Tweed shire has a new mayor in Councillor Barry Longland.
It's the first time in the top job for Cr Longland, who was voted in at an extraordinary meeting of Tweed Shire Council.
Cr Phil Youngblutt is the new deputy mayor.
Each year, councillors in the Tweed meet to select their own mayor.
Cr Longland will replace previous mayor Kevin Skinner.
