ONE of the Tweed's Biggest Morning Teas will host much more than scones and jam.

Fashion, passion and fund- raising will all take place at Saltbar Beachbar and Bistro.

The morning tea will host a classy fashion parade by On Kliff fashion boutique.

Event organiser Ms Natasha Lynch lost her mother to cancer in 2000 and her passion to help make a difference has led to the creation of this inaugural event.

"Cancer is personal" is part of the campaign for Cancer Council to help raise awareness and funds, and this is certainly the case and inspiration for this year's event at Saltbar Beachbar and Bistro.

Ms Lynch said it would aim to help contribute towards the goal of $13,000,000 for cancer research and patient support in the 20th Annual Australia's Biggest Morning Tea for Australian Cancer Council.

"Cancer takes the lives of thousands of people every year," Ms Lynch said.

"If we could all raise a small amount of money we would be a big step closer to finding a cure. My goal is to raise $2000, fingers crossed. With local support we will easily exceed this goal."

Tickets cost $15.

Ms Lynch said she would share more about her personal story and how you can help to make a difference. Proceeds of the event will be presented to Australian Cancer Council.
