AN airline is offering flights from the Gold Coast to Melbourne at what a couple would pay for a night at the movies.
Tiger Airways is selling one-way tickets for $48.97 on its Gold Coast to Melbourne route.
Tickets go on sale today until midnight January 25 on flights between May 1 and August 31.
Head of marketing and communications Vanessa Regan said there would be a rush for tickets.
"While there are plenty of seats available on all routes on sale this week, the key for bargain hunters is to plan ahead, book early and secure the best value deals as they are typically snapped up first," she said.
