Men kidnapped after Islamic festival

A BUSINESS owner who supplied amusement rides at an Islamic festival in Sydney this week is recovering from shock after being kidnapped at gunpoint, driven 20kms out west and dumped on the side of a busy highway.

Three employees at Amusement Hire Services at Clyde were tied up and threatened by a group of armed men late Tuesday night.

The proprietor was kidnapped, forced into a car and released a short time later on the M7 at Cecil Hills.

The workers had just returned from running rides at Ramadan festivities.

An amount of cash was stolen but no-one was injured.

The business remains under police guard.
