Sunshine Coast girl, 4, and dad missing in NSW

ABOUT 20 SES volunteers are helping police with a ground search for a father and his four-year-old daughter who sent missing in northern New South Wales on the weekend.

Police and family hold serious concerns for their welfare of Eeva Dorendahl, 4, and Greg Hutchings, 35, who have not been seen since they set off on a walk at Pottsville about 12.30pm on Saturday

It was reported earlier that they were due to return to Eeva's mother's house in Kin Kin on Saturday.

However, a NSW Police Media spokeswoman has clarified the situation, saying there was no indication they were heading for the Coast.

Officers attached to Tweed Byron Local Area Command have launched an investigation into the incident.

It is understood they do not have access to a car.

Greg is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 175cm tall, with short brown curly hair and of a thin build.

He was last seen wearing a black long-sleeve shirt, grey trousers and carrying a black back pack.

Eeva is described as being of Caucasian appearance, with long blonde hair, blue eyes and of a thin build.

She was last seen wearing an oversized blue and white-coloured shirt and multicoloured board shorts.

Police are urging anyone with information about this incident to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or use the Crime Stoppers online reporting page: https://www1.police.nsw.gov.au/.
