Missing girl found in Burleigh

A GIRL who went missing at Banora Point on Friday was found across the border after an eight-hour search.

Tweed police said that a male family member picked up the girl from a Banora Point primary school about 12.30pm.

She was not returned to her home and police were notified.

The child was found at a home unit in Burleigh Heads about 8.15pm.

Police are still investigating the circumstances of the disappearance.
