Missing woman last seen at Coffs

DETECTIVES investigating the disappearance of a woman from a Northern Beaches caravan park last week believe she may now be on the North Coast.

Tweed Byron police Inspector Jim Cain said the Tweed Byron Local Area Command was not directly involved in the investigation at this stage but was helping to spread the information.

Patricia Petersen, 46, was discovered missing by the manager of the North Narrabeen caravan park on Thursday, April 26.

Her personal belongings had been left behind.

Police from Northern Beaches Local Area Command started inquiries into her disappearance sparking a major air, sea and land search in the local area.

But detectives believe she may now be on the North Coast.

It's believed she boarded a Coffs Harbour-bound CountryLink train on Tuesday, April 24 and is also thought to have visited a Port Macquarie supermarket on Saturday, April 28.

If you have seen Mrs Peterson or have information on her current whereabouts contact Dee Why Police Station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
