Models steal the show at surf club

HORSES galloping across the finish line took second place in Kingscliff yesterday, as spring fashions stole the scene.

While race enthusiasts prowled the decks of the Cudgen Headland Surf Life Saving Club enjoying lunch and drinks in the lead-up to the race that stops the nation, a gaggle of models were dressing up for a scene-stealing show.

The All Dressed Up But No Where To Go fashion event was courtesy of fashion-forward and funky Kingscliff boutique Raggedy Anne.

Tweed models Ella Corby, Jessie Ross, Lily Cooper and Amba Gilbert donned a range fashions in an array of fresh colours for the event.

With the blue waves in the background and the smell of sea salt in the air the models strutted down the deck, which served as a makeshift catwalk, in a slew of flirty frocks and fabulous fascinators.

The models sported an array of hairstyles including soft romantic up-dos and silky straight strands.

All hairstyles for the event were designed and created by Illusions by the Sea, a hair and beauty salon also located in the picturesque Kingscliff.

After donning multiple looks for the show the models retired from the catwalk to watch Dunaden race to victory.
