Mooball gets its groove on

THE word is out in southern parts of the Tweed: “Mooball will be moo-ving to a new groove!”

B.O.K. School of Dance director Briony O’Keefe has announced her organisation is opening a new dance studio in the old Kelly Brothers general store in the southern Tweed Village.

The opening is being celebrated today from 10am until noon with new students welcome and invited to “come and check out the studio”.

Ms O’Keefe said the B.O.K School of Dance was in its fourth year at Pottsville and would offer even more classes at Mooball.

Given the studio’s success in Pottsville, she said she was “excited to offer the opportunity for rural students in and surrounding the town of Mooball the services and expertise of B.O.K School of Dance”.

She said this year more than 80% of her ballet students had received scores of 95% or higher in their Australian Dance Assessment Ballet Examination.

The eisteddfod group had performed at several locations including Armidale and Coffs Harbour, “receiving many great marks and placing in 80% of their competitions”.

Ms O’Keefe said teachers specialised in jazz, hip hop, classical ballet, contemporary, tap and musical theatre.
