More trouble at The Bottle-O, Terranora overnight

TWO men were charged after assaulting security guards at The Bottle-O, Terranora overnight, in an incident police believe is unrelated to Friday's double robbery.

According to Tweed Byron LAC Inspector Jim Cain, during the early hours of this morning two men assaulted a pair of security guards stationed around The Bottle-O at Henry Lawson Dr, Terranora.

The men left the scene and came back some time later with another man to taunt the security guards, but police officers attended, arrested two men and took them to Tweed Heads Police station.

The 21-year-old and 22-year-old faced bail court this morning, charged with assault, intimidation and affray.

Despite The Bottle-O being robbed twice in the early hours of Friday morning, once by ram-raid and a second time on foot, at this stage police do not believe this morning's incident was related.

Investigations will continue and police ask anyone with information to ring the Tweed Police station on 07 5536 0999 or CrimeStoppers on 1800 333 000.
