UPDATE 10.30AM: A Toowoomba teen was lucky to escape uninjured when her car crashed at Highfields this morning.

The 17-year-old's Holden Cruze broke a small silky oak tree off at ground level before rolling onto its side on Kleinton Rd about 9.10am.

A nearby resident was in his kitchen when he heard what sounded like "something that fell off the back of a truck on the bitumen".

The man went outside to see the car on its side and hear a woman calling out.

"She was standing up in there (the car) with the door open," he said.

"She said she was alright."

Firefighters stabilised the car before the teenager was helped from the car and taken to Toowoomba Hospital to be checked over.

Police seized the teenager's car for inspection.

9.20AM: A motorist has been injured in a single-vehicle rollover near Highfields, north of Toowoomba.

The crash occurred on Kleinton Rd about 9.10am.

The vehicle reportedly lost control, left the road and overturned.

The driver of the vehicle was encapsulated in the wreckage when emergency services arrived.
