Drunk mum crashed with child in car

A 31-YEAR-OLD woman has been charged with high range drink driving after crashing her car with a four-year-old girl in the back seat.

Witnesses alerted police after seeing the woman's Holden Captiva driving dangerously on the Princes Highway at Kiama about 6.15pm yesterday.

The car left the road with the tire bursting, It then struck a centre barrier almost causing it to roll before continuing on for 500 metres before it broke down and stopped.

Members of the public then removed the driver from the car and took her keys.

A four-year-old girl was uninjured.

The woman was arrested and blew .200, four times over the legal limit.

She was charged with high range PCA, drive in manner dangerous to the public, and negligent driving.

She was granted conditional bail to appear at Kiama Local Court in March.

Her licence was suspended.

Police have reported the matter to Family and Community Services (FACS).
