Mur’bah story dogs volunteers feature on phone book cover

TWO Murwillumbah women have been chosen to grace the covers of this year's Lismore White and Yellow Pages.

Janine Sigley and Leah Sheldon were selected under the theme Inspiring Others to Achieve for their work with the Story Dogs program.

The pair help young people to improve their reading and communication skills, with the help of some furry four-legged friends.

The program allows school children to build up their confidence by reading in a non-threatening environment by reading to non-judgemental canines.

The new White and Yellow Pages will begin distribution on Saturday.
